Where can you play beach volleyball in Berlin in winter?
Berlin has several heated indoor beach volleyball halls: East 61 with 9 covered courts, the indoor hall at Beach 61 (Gleisdreieck), the BeachMitte winter hall and South Beach (Area 85) in Lankwitz. That makes beach volleyball a year-round sport in Berlin – 365 days in the sand.
Is there beach volleyball training in winter?
Yes. Our courses and camps continue in the halls through winter – same structure as in summer: maximum 8 players per pro coach, four levels from absolute beginner to advanced plus kids (ages 8–13). All info on the camps and training page, dates and booking here.
How much does beach volleyball in winter cost?
A coached weekend camp costs €119 for adults and €59 for kids – in winter as in summer. Court rental prices for open play vary by venue and time of day; details are on the venues’ websites.
Why is winter training worth it?
If you train through the winter, you start the spring ahead of the competition: technique and plays you consolidate in winter are already solid when the season starts in April/May. The hall is ideal for beginners – constant conditions, no wind, comfortable temperatures.

A couple of months ago I moved to Berlin and I would love to start playing beach volleybal. I’m very much interested in the beach volleyball training for the entire winter season.
But I would like to know if it might be possible to pay the fee in more than just 1 term?

happy to hear from you and you did a right choice: Berlin is for sure best city in Germany for playing Beach volleyball.
Thank you for your question. You have 2 options: you can book 1 month or entire winter. If you book only 1 month so you must pay only for 1 month in advance. If you book entire winter, you must pay for all remaining winter month (in 2019/2020 season this will be 340 for 17 units. In case of the second option you have a benefit because you place is for sure reserved for you and will not be unlocked for others.
By the way, in Berlin exist some possibilities to just play without training. This also might be in-teresting for you if you have just moved to Berlin. Is for sure a good option to meet new people. I have started to write article about this topic (currently only in German):
